The LOST series, so far

OK, well, to be honest if I hadn't set myself this stupid goal of watching every single episode so that I could watch the series finale with the rest of the world, I would have stopped watching LOST about 20 episodes ago. I don't care so much for the characters anymore, in fact whether they get off the island or not really doesn't even bother me. Weird shit is continuing to happen (Jacob the invisible man, the ever present black smoke monster, Locke being shot and visited by Walt, the people from the helicopter know something that they aren't sharing)... OK, so it kinda sounds dramatic and exciting but my carefactor left with Anna Lucia...

But I'll soldier on, cos I said I would...

Season Four, you better bring me something good...

Season 3: Ep 22/23

(Double ep, double word count)
Something actually happened? Wow. After ridiculous attack attempt on The Others fails, Charlie does his suicide mission and leans that it is not Penny's boat (oops, have I mentioned the boat yet?) Everyone we care about (do we though?) is safe from The Others but are they getting off the island? Flashfowards make me think that yes, yes they are.

Season 3: Ep 21

The Others want to kidnap the preggo women, how many could there be?! Charlie goes on a suicide mission to an underwater communications deck.

Season 3: Ep 20

Who the eff is Jacob? Ben shoots Locke because he can hear him? Is that why? Jack and Juliette are conspiring against The Others (I gotta pay more attention, this shit is getting confusing)

Season 3: Ep 19

Locke is chilling with The Others in his flashbacks? WTF? Sawyer kills Locke's father as it turns out that he was the asshole that ruined his family. (Ridiculous coincidence #1264)

Season 3: Ep 18

Sun learns that all preggo mums die on the island. Juliette (the double agent) helps her. Naomi parachutes onto island (she's cute), we learn that apparently the wreck of Oceanic flight was found with no survivors.

Season 3: Ep 17

Kate and Sawyer get it on (Kate wants all the boys). FB shows that Desmond met Penny when he was a Monk. (How is that all I got in one hour?)

Tuesday, April 20, 2010

Season 3: Ep 16

Juliette joins the gang at the main camp. Her flashbacks show that she is on the island against her will but that she is a mole spying on the beach crew. Bitch.

Season 3: Ep 15

The Others flee the camp and leave Kate and Juliette handcuffed in the jungle. They go and find Jack and Sayid. I don't trust Juliette. At all.

Season 3: Ep 14

Nicki and Paulo (who the hell were they anyway?)are accidentally buried alive after fighting over stolen diamonds. Is that all that happened? Yes.

Season 3: Ep 13

Jack is living it up in the camp with The Others. Jack and Juliette are getting off the island. No they're not. Locke just blew the submarine to smithereens.

Season 3: Ep 12

Kate, Locke, Sayid and Mikhail are searching for The Others' camp. A sonic boom fence kills Mikhail. Claire's father is also Jack's father? Ridiculous.

Thursday, April 15, 2010

Season 3: Ep 11

Kate, Locke and Sayid head off to find Jack. They find a house with a couple of Others in it. Potential to make contact with world, until Locke blows it up.

Season 3: Ep 10

Hurley finds an old VW camper and rallies the guys to help him restart it. It was kinda fun and I got water in eye. But what else happened? Nothin.

Season 3: Ep 9

Jack's flashbacks to Thailand are cringe worthy for this Bangkokian blogger. Kate and Sawyer get back to their gang. I'm still not sure about Juliette.

Season 3: Ep 8

OK, what? Time travel now? Seriously this is getting kinda ridiculous. The Irish dude went back in time and now can see into the future?

Season 3: Ep 7

Kate and Sawyer escape the small island. Jack saves Ben. We learn more about Juliette - she might be a prisoner too?

Season 3: Ep 6

Meet Alex, is she a rogue Other? Kate's flashbacks include a wedding and real love. Is she now in love with Sawyer or is she still holding something for Jack?

Tuesday, April 13, 2010

Season 3 - Ep 5

Ok, is this blonde chick with The Others really "a good guy"? She is trying to put all the blame on Ben but how come I feel like it is just another mind trick? Why do I feel like this season is going nowhere fast?

Season 3 - Ep 4

Jack is called to save the chick that Sun shot but he couldn't. Perhaps his occupation is the reason for his occupation? Sawyer flashbacks reveal more cons. Again zzzzzz

Season 3 - Ep 3

Back to John and the beach crew. The hatch imploded, a polar bear stole Echo, John gave a speech and plans to save everyone. ZZZZZ

Season 3 - Ep 2

OK, I'm struggling to accept that The Others are actually so smart and mean and manipulative. I hate them. They stole the boat. But Sun did shoot one.

Season 3: Ep 1

The Others are a sophisticated psych agency with nice houses, cars and book clubs? The leader seriously freaks me out.

Previously on lostintwentywords...

Ok, folks, stop counting. The twenty word limit is bloody hard, so if I want to use 23 or 24 words I will. But I will try harder not to, if it makes you feel better.

Season Two certainly didn't have me hooked like the first season did, in fact if it wasn't for the blog I might have put my DVDs in the pile with Heroes and 24 (deservedly abandoned). But, I had the blog, I had to keep going. Right? I mean there are five people reading this, how will they cope?

So it all comes together nicely after 22 kinda boring and repetitive button pushing episodes. Finally I found myself wanting to watch another episode, but there was only one more in the season! Bloody hell. Anyway, we continue. Season Three is longer than I thought, I've my work cut out for me.

I've got 52 days to go and seasons 3, 4, 5 and half of 6. This is alarming! But I've holidays coming up and the iPod is loaded. I can do this folks. Stay tuned.

Will Sawyer, Jack and Kate all get it on? Or will Ana Lucia come back from the dead and get it on with Kate? That would be better. I think.

Season Two: Ep 23/24 - Live together, Die alone

(I get 40 words - don't argue Jason!)

Super boring season redeemed by last two hours. Jack, Kate and Sawyer are stuck with The Others. Michael and kid are on a boat. Desmond realises he caused the crash - super magnetics! Desmond's girl, she's got scientists looking for island!

Sunday, March 21, 2010

Season Two: Ep 22 - Three Minutes

Michael will clearly do anything to get Walt. Echo and John have their own spiritual agendas going on. Libby and Ana Lucia buried (so sad!). Then. A friggin boat!

Note: Why is it that every episode meanders slowly for about 55 minutes and then something happens in the last 30 seconds that warrants twenty words all to itself? So annoying....

Season Two: Ep 21 - Question Mark

They found a new hatch. I guess that was a big deal. But not as big of a deal as Ana Lucia and Libby being dead. Because of Michael.

Season Two: Ep 20 - Two for the Road

Ok LOST season two. Now you have my attention. Holy shit. Michael has lost it. He just put bullets in Ana Lucia and Hurley's blonde chick. Then himself? I think?

Season Two: Ep 19 - SOS

Man alive I am bored. The SOS sign didn't get finished. Jack and Kate went out to find The Others. They found Michael. The romance at the end? Snore.

Season Two: Ep 18 - Dave

Focus on Hurley and his flashbacks. Wow! Poor guy has an imaginary friend that almost got him killed. Hurley got smecked! The chick is also a psych patient in Hurley's flashback!

Season Two: Ep 17 - Lockdown

Lockdown drama and Locke got his leg caught under a slammed door. Blue light reveals weird stuff on the walls of the hatch. Balloon story is bullshit - who the hell is this Henry guy?

Sunday, March 14, 2010

Season Two: Ep 16 - The Whole Truth

Seriously, nobody trusts anyone. It's like the friggin X-Files all over again. Sayid and Ana are out searching for the balloon. Sun is preggo with a secret.

Season Two: Ep 15 - Maternity Leave

I'm really not sure about the new prisoner. I'm leaning towards him being a big liar and a definite bad guy. Claire's kidnapping flashback are quite revealing.

Season Two: Ep 14 - One of Them

Sayid is as good at torture as Sawyer is at running a con. Things are starting to heat up. Trust is gone. Alliances are startin...

Season Two: Ep 13 - The Long Con

Holy crap - Sawyer is a total ass! He is a con from way back and he just conned the shit (well, actually the guns) outta everybody!

Thursday, March 4, 2010

Season Two: Ep 12 - Fire and Water

Ok, Charlie is losing it! He is having weird ass dreams that he thinks are premonitions telling him to save Claire's baby. Stealing it in the night, not a good idea.

Season Two: Ep 11 - The hunting party

Michael heads off to find Walt and the usual heroes follow him. They find The Others. Scary ass bastards with special tricks. Jack and co give up their weapons. Return without Michael.

Season Two: Ep 10 - The 23rd Psalm

Here's yet another ridiculous coincidence. Mr Ecko's brother was a pilot on the plane that crashed and then killed Boone. Weird ass blake smoke monster came to attack Ecko and then flew away

Season Two: Ep 09 - What Kate Did

Kate's flashbacks show us that she killed her father. Wow. Michael reckons he is talking with Walt on the computer in the hatch. This is unlikely. Sawyer whispers that he loves her

Season Two: Ep 08 - Collision

Mr Ecko brings Sawyer to Jack in the hatch. The Tailenders meet the original crew (water came into my eye). What a surprise, Anna Lucia has a bad history. Is there anyone on this friggin island not running or hiding?!

Season Two: Ep 07 - The Other 48 Days

We get a quick recap of how The Tailenders saw the first 48 days after the crash. No doctor, things are different. Also The Others were on to them. Mr Ecko killed a couple of The Others too.

Season Two: Ep 06 - Abandoned

As The Tailenders keep walking Sawyer gets sicker. Jin and Mr Ecko see The Others, at least 5 of them. Maybe a kid or two? Meanwhile Shannon starts to hunt for Walt and accidentally gets killed by hot pyscho (Anna Lucia)

Season Two: Ep 05 - ...And Found

Michael does a runner from the tailenders (I learn that they aren't The Others), Jin and Mr Ecko follow him (much to anger of new pyscho woman Anna Lucia - hot, but crazy).

Season Two: Ep 03 - Everybody hates Hugo

Hurley doesn't want to stocktake the food. He wants everybody to be happy. So he just hands it all out and they party on it. The other survivors that Michael, Sawyer and Jin to their hideout.

Season Two: Ep 03 - Orientation

I'm already bored of the hatch. Press the buttons. Hit execute. I don't think that anything will happen if you don't but clearly nobody wants to find out for sure.

Season Two: Ep 02 - Adrift

Michael and Sawyer float back to shore and come across Jin who is running from a bunch of folks weilding rocks and logs as weapons. They get thrown into a pit. Are these folks The Others?

Season Two: Ep 01 - Man of Science, Man of Faith

They take a look inside the hatch. The dude living in there is Desmond, a guy from Jack's flashbacks. What the hell is the hatch? Some high tech bomb shelter?

Season One: Ep 24/25 Exodus Part 2

They get the dynamite (after Locke nearly was gobbled up by some machine ghost thing). Hurley sees the numbers on the hatch and tries to stop the dynamite. Too late. BANG! Charlie and Sayid get the baby back. Frenchie is loopy! The raft guys get radar of a boat. Bad guys on a boat. They steal Walt!

Season One: Ep 23 - Exodus Part 1

French woman arrives and speaks of the black smoke and The Others - she steals the baby. She leads them to the dynamite. The science teacher dude blows himself up. Unexpected!

Season One: Ep 22 - Born to Run

The Hatch - all agree that it needs to be opened. Lots of fighting and stuff to claim place on the raft. Kate's flashbacks are grim. Who's arent'?!?!

Season One: Ep 21 - The Greater Good

Jack is pissed at Locke, calls him Boone's murderer. Shannon is out to bloody kill him! Sayid saves the day but Shannon will prob hate him now. Sayid worked with the Aussie CIA.

Season One: Ep 20 - Do No Harm

Boone dies (I didn't expect that) and Claire has a baby. Jack's flashbacks show that his wife is a former patient that he fixed.

Season One: Ep 19 - Deus Ex Machina

Close up on Locke. Messed up flashbacks. Are his legs giving out on him again?

Season One: Ep 18 - Numbers

The numbers are cursed. Seriously. Hurley and Frenchie become friends. Shit. The numbers are on the hatch!

Season One: Ep 17 - …In Translation

The raft is on fire. It was the kid. Sayid and Shannon smeck on the lips. Sun speaks English!

Season One: Ep 16 - Outlaws

Close up on Sawyer. Can't decide if I like him or if he's an ass. Uneventful episode. Next.

Sunday, February 21, 2010

Season One: Ep 15 - Homecoming

Charlie's flashbacks show remorse. Break out the guns to catch Ethan. Charlie seeks revenge with 5 bullets in Ethan's chest.

Season One: Ep 14 - Special

Michael's character deepens with his flashbacks. Holy shit it's another freaking polar bear! Claire walks outta the bush?! Shit!

Season One: Ep 13 - Hearts and Minds

Locke is freaking mad. And the monster thing is plain scary. This show is far too ridiculous to be believable.

Season One: Ep 12 - Whatever the Case May Be

Kate is shady. She really can't be trusted? The minature airplane? WTF? Charlie is breaking. Dumb blonde sings French tune.

Season One: Ep 11 - All the Best Cowboys Have Daddy Issues

Claire and Charlie abducted? Shit is getting weird. Charlie nearly killed. Jack saved him. What did Locke find?

Season One: Ep 10 - Raised by Another

Census reveals something shocking. They are not alone. Sayid is on the run from the not dead French woman.

Tuesday, February 16, 2010

Season One: Ep 9 - Solitary

The chick from the recording is alive. And crazy. Sayid's past reveals scary truths. Golf has never been more exciting.

Monday, February 15, 2010

Season One: Ep 8 - Confidence Man

A softer vibe to this. (Ignoring the torture scene). It seems there is whole lot more to Sawyer.

Season One: Ep 7 - The Moth

They found the signal but who hit Sayid? Kate is totally crushing on Jack. Charlie kicks his habit.

Thursday, February 11, 2010

Season One: Ep 6 - House of the Rising Sun

The Korean lady speaks English. Didn't see that coming. The camp splits. Will Jack miss Kate? Hurley's discman still works?

Wednesday, February 10, 2010

Season One: Ep 5 - White Rabbit

I almost forgot a chick drowned. Jack spent ages chasing a vision of his dead dad. I was kinda spooked.

Season One: Ep 4 - Walkabout

The old dude can walk. It's a miracle. But the man in the suit. Can't get image outta my mind.

Tuesday, February 9, 2010

Season One: Ep 3 - Tabala Rasa

Tall douchebag attempts euthanasia but shoots marshal in heart instead of head. Warm fuzzy feeling of opportunity to start anew.

Season One: Pilot - Part 2

A bad guy? Nope. Bad girl. She's still hot. Eerie recording heard. They'll be 1000 kms off course for ages.

Season One: Pilot - Part 1

He's awake. Sees an uninterested dog. Finds a wrecked plane on the beach. There is chaos. Now a monster? Seriously?

Intro

I'm not going to lie. I've tried this blog thing before. Twice actually. Both runs lasted around a year, maybe eighteen months. I expected little more than a few random comments to boost my ego. To let me know that somebody (probably my family) was interested in what I was up to. My previous blog attempts were both thwarted by new developments. My first blog, hosted by daimo.com, kinda went AWOL so I transferred what I could over to my first attempt with blogspot and I carried on eagerly entertaining (3 or 4 people) for about a year or so, until I was eventually abducted by facebook. Which is where I am today. Abducted. Or perhaps just addicted. To facey.

2010 begins and two great friends of mine start blogging. A bold about face. A passionate attempt to reconnect with their intellect and share wisdom and insight. Instead of virtual pet societies, farms and cafe worlds, they are writing. And entertaining. I was reading. And anticipating.

So perhaps I have been inspired? Wooly and D-Rock, you might cop the blame for what is about to happen.

So. My point. lostintwentywords.

As well as a rather embarrassing addiction to facebook, and a growing addiction to twitter (it's taken me three years to make the leap) I have an addiction to TV. (I do have a life. I just don't sleep much). A gorgeous friend of mine once told me that she would watch only the "highest quality TV or the worst that pop culture has to offer on TV". I am following her lead. But first I need to play catch up. You see, I missed the boat on something. Emmys, Brit Academy TV Awards, Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild awards and
ridiculous viewer statistics (16 million tuned in to each episode back in season one) went by and I neglected to tune in. But now, 105 days from the finale, 6 years and 103 episodes after the premiere, I have serious, serious FOMO. (That's Fear Of Missing Out).

LOST

I do not want to miss out on enjoying the Finale of LOST the TV series when it airs in May this year. I don't want to be at work and feel excluded from conversations. I don't want to be the only one not tweeting about it.
I want my facebook status to highlight that I also have a LOST addiction. I will understand that shirt with the numbers on it that Neil wears to be nerd chic. I will understand who people are talking about when they refer to "the hot chick from lost". I can't be out of the loop if Paddy is in it. I want to be a part of it. I need to be a part of it. I will be a part of it.

And so it begins. I have 120 episodes to watch. I have 105 days until the finale.

What you will get. My dear dear readers. Is a 20 word (or less, let's not make this too difficult for me) summary/comment/question/theory posted after each and every episode.

LOST faithfuls are excited to re-live the experience through me.

LOST newbies have someone with whom they can share the ride.

lostintwentywords.

Let the addiction begin.
